This is due to the fact that their target markets are high-risk drivers who are generally in need of basic coverage they can afford. When I spoke to a manager after the third issue I had with them, she made no attempt to offer me any sort of solution and was more than happy to process my cancellation.
I guess The General has so many happy customers, they don't really need another one.
